St. Louis Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals have won the National League Central Division in all but two seasons since 2000. Under future Hall-of-Fame manager Tony La Russa, the Cardinals have featured consistently good pitching and several impressive sluggers. Albert Pujols, Jim Edmonds and Scott Rolen have all played headline roles in the Cardinals' run-scoring efforts, led by Pujols, who has had at least 30 home runs and 100 RBIs in his first seven seasons as a major leaguer. The St. Louis Cardinals won their 11th World Series in 2011, making them second only to the New York Yankees with the most World Series titles.

St. Louis Rams
It seems like just the other day the St. Louis Rams were "The Greatest Show on Turf," putting up astounding numbers and running circles around their opponents in the National Football League. With Mike Martz first at offensive coordinator then head coach, the St. Louis Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999 and advanced to the championship game again in 2001, only to lose to the ascendant New England Patriots. In the 2007 season, with injuries plaguing the quarterback position, the Rams have started an abysmal 0-7 and look to miss the playoffs for the third season in a row.

St. Louis Blues
Though the St. Louis Blues have, at various times, put such famous players as Brett Hull, Wayne Gretzky and Chris Pronger on the ice, this St. Louis hockey team hasn't advanced to hockey's Stanley Cup Finals since 1970. In 2005, they posted the National Hockey League's worst record and finished last in the Central Division. In 2006, the St. Louis Blues improved by more than 10 games but still finished with a losing record. In 2007, led by assists-leader Paul Kariya and the high-scoring Keith Tkachuk, the Blues look ready to turn things around and compete for the playoffs.
